RMS Remote Access. RMS Remote Access RMS Remote Access Version 5.5 3.0

RMS Remote access Is a remote desktop management product that provides easy and secure access to PCs anywhere in the world. RMS allows you to view the remote screen and control the keyboard and mouse as if the remote computer was directly in front of you. RMS consists of two main modules:

Control Module - Client

The "" module is designed to connect to remote workstations on which the Host is installed. The client provides a convenient UI for managing the list of connections, building a network map, searching for remote workstations and managing them in various modes.

Remote Unit - Host

"" Must be installed on every remote workstation that needs to be accessed. This module allows you to remotely control the computer on which it is installed. Remote installation of client modules is possible, there is also an MSI configurator for the Host distribution.
From a single control center, you can connect to any computer in the domain - via Active Directory, in the local network or via the Internet - using the Internet-ID. There are also auxiliary modules:

Client (Viewer) is an application used by technicians or administrators to establish a remote access session. The Viewer allows you to manage the list of remote computers and establish a connection with them in any of 15 available modes.

Main window of the Client module

The host must be installed on each remote computer (remote and automated bulk installation is possible). It is more versatile than Agent (see below) and provides both controlled remote access, and not controlled (i.e. access that does not require the presence of a person at the remote computer). Because Host works as a system service, you can perform any actions with a remote PC without any additional settings, it is enough just that the computer is turned on and on the network.

Host icon in the notification area

However, in spite of the fact that Host provides uncontrolled access, it is possible to restrict access rights by mode and configure the program in such a way that when trying to connect remotely, the remote user must give permission for access from the administrator. The host is convenient, first of all, for organizations with a large fleet of PCs and for users who need the maximum possible control over remote computers.

Agent

An agent is essentially a lightweight version of the Host module. This application does not require installation or even administrator rights on a remote computer. The remote client simply downloads the application, launches it and tells the support technician the ID and password, which are displayed on a very simple program window.

The agent can be pre-configured in a special way by placing your company logo there and specifying the required invitation text. You can send the client a link to a specially configured Agent located on your site. Another convenient feature that can be configured in advance is the automatic sending of access attributes to your email immediately after starting the Agent. Thus, the remote client does not even have to tell you the access ID and password - they will come to your email automatically. The remote client can terminate the remote access session at any time by simply closing the Agent application. If you need constant remote access in 24/7 mode, it is better to use the Host module. The agent will be useful, first of all, for companies that provide technical support to their users via the Internet.

Mini Internet-ID Server

Mini Internet-ID Server is a free, specialized product that will be of interest, first of all, to advanced system administrators and companies providing technical support via the Internet. Mini Internet-ID Server replicates the functionality of our global Internet-ID system, designed for remote access by ID, through NAT and firewalls. This server can be installed on any computer with an external IP address and the Host and Viewer can be configured in such a way that when connecting they use not our global Internet-ID service, but your dedicated Mini Internet-ID server. This application is installed as a service and does not require a lot of memory or CPU resources.

System requirements

No RMS module has any special hardware or software requirements.
Supported OS family MS Windows 10/ 8/7 / Vista / XP and Windows Server 2016/ 2012/2008/2003, including 64x.

»We reviewed a functional product for controlling a computer via the Internet, in this article we will look at how to connect to a remote computer step by step.

So, we are faced with the task of helping a friend install the program, in each other city and is not very versed in the computer, but he has the Internet.

Step 1 - Download and Run RMS Agent

  • Dictate by letter or by email, Skype to a friend, direct download address - http://rmansys.ru/download/Agent.exe;
  • It launches the downloaded file Agent.exe (note that the program does not require administrator rights and works bypassing the brandmauer). After a couple of seconds, your friend sees the program window on the screen:

And that's all, your friend doesn't need to do anything else, he tells you the ID and password! With a shudder I remember TeamViewer and the need to press a dozen buttons and wait 40 seconds before the uninstalled program starts.

Step 2 - Download and run rms.viewer5.5ru.msi

  • You download the client management module - http://rmansys.ru/download (RMS Remote Access - full version);
  • From the downloaded archive, install - rms.viewer5.5ru.msi, the Viewer shortcut appears on the desktop (green monitor);
  • Run the program:

With the right mouse button, add a connection, randomly name the connection, enter the Internet ID dictated by another and click "ok". The program will make a connection, ask for a password, which a friend will again tell us, and that's all, we are connected:

If you move the mouse to the upper central part of the screen, the control panel will pop up, on it you can launch the file manager, disable the keyboard for the client, so as not to interfere, change the screen size, etc.

Advanced work in RMS Remote access

By right-clicking on a connection and selecting the properties menu item, the connection property is displayed:

As you can see, the tab additionally has a number of very useful functions, for example, you can disable the aero interface when connecting, block the client's keyboard and mouse, adjust the color (lower for weak machines) and much more.

Also pay attention to the "Security" tab. On the client side, in the agent, you can rigidly set a constant password, and in the client, in this tab, register this password and thus have constant access, which is very convenient.

A little handy trick for working with RMS

The fact is that it is not necessary to install the host program for the client, in order to always be able to go to it, you can copy the contents of the host folder and set up batch files / cmd files for yourself. The syntax for working with the command line is as follows:

rutserv.exe with the following keys:

  • / silentinstall - install the Host service
  • / silentuninstall - uninstall the Host service
  • / firewall - integrate with the system firewall Windows XP / Vista / 7
  • / start - start the server
  • / stop - stop the server
  • / config - open the settings window
  • / printerinstall - install the RMS virtual printer.
  • / printeruninstall - uninstall the RMS virtual printer.

Attention! Host commands are executed only as administrator.

Remote Manipulator System is a free for private and home use, closed source software for remote administration and computer control, developed by the Russian company TektonIT. This project is the official continuation of the now closed Remote Office Manager.

Remote Manipulator System (RMS) provides fast, secure and convenient access to remote computers and maintains connections over local area networks(LAN) and wide access networks - WAN (Internet). In addition to controlling the mouse and keyboard, RMS provides a set of other utilities useful for the system administrator, for example, file transfer, task manager, remote launch, intercepting audio signals from a remote machine, and much more.

Despite its wide functionality, Remote Manipulator System takes up a minimum of memory, uses processor resources sparingly, and can also be configured to work in slow networks (based on EDGE, GPRS), thanks to the ability to work in the so-called. economy mode. All data transmitted over the network is compressed and encrypted.

The Remote Manipulator System has two components

  • R-Server - this part is installed on a remote computer (remote installation is possible).
  • R-Viewer - this part is installed on the administrator's computer and can be used to control remote computers.

Description:
RMS Remote Access is a remote desktop management product that provides easy and secure access to PCs anywhere in the world. RMS allows you to view the remote screen and control the keyboard and mouse as if the remote computer was directly in front of you.

Additional Information:
Remote desktop control

Remote Desktop Management is the key operating mode of the RMS Remote Access product. Wherever you are, you can get free remote access to your computer and control it as if you were directly in front of it, using the keyboard and mouse.

Remote desktop access in real time, without delays, is provided by a unique image capture technology. There is an optimization for weak channels - GPRS, EDGE, 3G.

The program is fully compatible with the latest operating system- you can carry out remote Windows administration, including Windows 10. When connecting to a remote screen, the "Aero" graphical shell is not disabled, and the process is invisible to the user. It is possible to forcibly disable "Aero" during a remote session to improve overall performance.

Support for systems with multiple monitors.

Terminal session selection. If several sessions are running on the remote computer at the same time, for example, local and several RDP, you can select the session of interest and remotely control it.

It is possible to block the screen and input devices (keyboard and mouse) of the remote machine for the duration of the remote desktop connection.

Drag & Drop (dragging) files and folders directly to the remote desktop and vice versa. You don't need to start the file manager to perform a simple file operation. Use the familiar drag and drop.

There is a built-in RDP client (remote desktop protocol) that allows remote control of computers via RDP even via Internet-ID.
Remote access via the Internet

Thanks to the "Internet-ID" function, you can configure remote access to a computer via the Internet without an IP address, without having special skills as a system administrator. Remote administration is now available for ordinary users for free.

The "Connect Back" function allows remote administration via the Internet, firewalls and NAT.

Possibility of organizing a cascading connection of servers (function "Connect via"), which allows you to establish a connection with computers from a different subnet.
Use the program for free

"RMS Remote Access" - completely free program, both for individuals and legal entities.

The "Internet-ID" function, which allows you to work through our servers, is also included in the free version.

The license key can be instantly obtained directly from the Client (if there is Internet access), without additional registrations on the site and without requests to the support service.

V free version there are no restrictions on the number of connections, functionality or operating modes. It differs from the paid one only in the type of the license key.

Safety
All data that is transmitted through the server of the program manufacturer or between RMS modules is securely encrypted. No one, including the RMS developers, will be able to decrypt this data. A reliable RSA algorithm is used for authentication, the key size is 2048 bits. All data is then encrypted using a 256-bit AES session key.

Flexible and customizable system for dividing remote access rights by connection modes.

Microsoft certified encryption providers are used for all encryption operations.

The IP address filter allows remote control of the Host only from specific IP addresses and subnets.

There is built-in protection against password guessing and DDoS attacks.

You can enable logging of all Host events and connections.
Remote installation and deployment

There are several options for remote installation of the program, incl. and automatic deployment to the domain using group policies Active Directory security.
