Arbor with pallet hands step by step. Pallet gazebo: photo ideas for creating a simple and budget garden design. We determine the optimal place

Pallets are increasingly used by summer residents as a cheap building material... Fences and small buildings can be constructed from these products. They are often used to create gazebos. This allows you to reduce construction costs and at the same time create an original structure.

It is worth noting that creating a gazebo from pallets with your own hands can be quite fast, since for the construction of a structure it is enough to connect all the elements according to the drawing.

General description of pallets

Pallets are a structure that consists of two tiers of boards and beams. These products are intended for transportation various materials and items. Examples include bricks, concrete blocks, and barrels. The wood from which the pallets are made is processed, so it is not affected by the fungus.

The described products are used in warehouses for a rather long time, so the boards will have time to dry well. Often used pallets of the company are thrown away as unnecessary. But increasingly, this material is being sold for a small fee. Pallets can be bought both as firewood and for the construction of small structures.

The height of all described products is 15 cm. It should be noted that there are 4 types of pallets, which differ from each other in size. It is quite easy to create a floor from the described products, since this will only require filling the gaps between the boards.

Where to get the material

There are several ways to get pallets for a gazebo:

  1. Assemble by yourself. To do this, it is enough to find out the dimensions of such products and select the appropriate materials.
  2. Buy. Companies often sell pallets that have been in use for a while.
  3. Get it for free. To do this, you need to contact the companies using this material and find out if they are recycling pallets. If the company simply throws away this material, your request will not be denied, since the removal of pallets also entails additional costs.

Preparation of materials

Before starting the construction of a pallet gazebo, it is worth creating a diagram and determining the most optimal place for installing the structure. After determining the size of the gazebo, it will be easy to determine the required amount of materials to create it.

Before you build a gazebo, you need to do the following:

  1. Carefully inspect all delivered pallets and, if necessary, repair and clean them of dirt.
  2. Also, in accordance with the design of the building, you need to divide the pallets into several parts or connect them in accordance with the drawing.
  3. Since pallets are made from unplaned boards, they should be sanded before use. It should be noted that it is not necessary to sand all surfaces. It is enough to align the parts of the products that will face the inside of the structure.
  4. To protect against fungus and bacteria, before creating a gazebo, the materials should be coated with an antiseptic impregnation.
  5. After the product is completely dry, you need to paint the pallets with paint of the selected color.

If these steps are not taken, the building will be of lower quality. Before making a gazebo from pallets, it is worthwhile to correctly calculate the amount of materials used so that during the work you do not have to interrupt this process.

Building the foundation

The pallet gazebo can be installed on compacted soil, but professional builders recommend creating a foundation. The foundation can be of two types:

  1. The pile type of base for the gazebo involves the use of screw piles or asbestos-cement pipes. When choosing this option, you can create a foundation quickly enough. After installing the supports, a strapping of metal or timber is fixed on them, on which the floor is then laid. Before creating a gazebo with your own hands, it is worthwhile to determine the required number of piles in advance.
  2. If a strip base is created, it is necessary to create a trench and, after installing the wooden formwork, fill it with a cement-sand mixture.

Important! Since the pallet structure is lightweight, it is worth creating a shallow base. Moreover, its width should be about 10 cm more than the thickness of the pallets.

If the gazebo will be installed without a foundation, after creating a sand cushion, it is necessary to lay a waterproofing material. This is necessary to protect the tree from moisture penetration from the soil.

It is also worth remembering about the protection of the lower harness. Waterproofing material v in this case fits on the foundation.

How walls are created

The construction of walls takes place in several stages:

  1. First, a frame is created from beams. The distance between the beams must be equal to the width of the pallets used. It is also important to make sure that the building material is free of rot and cracks. It is important to pay attention to chips as well, because of them the frame may not withstand the load.
  2. The racks are fastened using metal corners and self-tapping screws. If the harness was made of metal, you need to weld "ears" to the channel.
  3. At the ends of the racks to be installed, an upper strapping is mounted from a bar of the same section. It should be noted that pallets can be mounted in one, two or three rows. When choosing a type of construction, it is worth remembering that walls created in one row will transmit light well, but at the same time weakly protect against oblique rain. If you want to create solid walls, it is worth fixing the pallets with a slight shift relative to each other.
  4. After choosing the type of construction, the pallets are fixed to the racks using anchors or screws. The connection of the described products to each other is carried out using self-tapping screws or nails.

By following these instructions step by step, you can independently create a fairly reliable gazebo from pallets. Also, the manual helps to avoid mistakes during construction.

It is worth remembering that if you want to create a light, light structure, one row of pallets is enough. If you need a more massive and protected gazebo, you need to fix 2 or 3 rows of the described products.

Roofing

For roofing, pallets in their usual form are poorly suited, so they must be disassembled into boards and create a crate.

The following materials can be used to create a roof:

  1. Polycarbonate. This material transmits light well and is resistant to temperature extremes. When choosing a material, you can choose the shade you like the most.
  2. Ondulin. This material is quite popular, as it has affordable cost and at the same time it is simply mounted on the crate. It also has a long service life. By choosing brown or green material, you can make a gazebo that will harmoniously fit into the landscape.
  3. Soft tiles. This material is more expensive. It should be noted that soft tiles goes well with wood. If desired, you can choose a material with a different pattern and shade. It should be noted that for this material it is necessary to create a continuous flooring.

The shape of the roof of the pallet gazebo can be different. When creating a gazebo from pallets for a summer residence, it is important to choose the right shade of roofing material so that the gazebo looks more attractive.

Choice of flooring

To create a floor in a pallet gazebo, it is worth using materials intended for outdoor use. These include:

  • deck board;
  • terrace tiles;
  • stone;
  • decking.

All of these materials are resistant to moisture and abrasion. They are also not afraid of low temperatures and have an attractive appearance... If boards are selected to create the floor, they must be covered protective compounds and varnish.

Arbor design

In order for all the elements of the gazebo to be combined with each other, the described products should be used to decorate the structure from the inside. From them, for example, you can create a fairly comfortable and wide sofa and a beautiful table by placing it in the center of the building.

By using pallets as furniture, you can make the gazebo more beautiful and original. In order for the structure and furniture to be combined in it, it is worth choosing the right colors in which the pallets will be painted.

It is worth remembering that covering the gazebo with paint and varnish is necessary not only to decorate it, but also to protect the material from the negative effects of the environment.

If you wish, you can bring electricity to the gazebo. It is important to securely insulate the wiring to prevent the wood structure from catching fire during operation. Also, for convenience, it is worth making a path leading to the gazebo. To create it, you can use the rest of the pallets. But it is worth remembering that before starting to create a path, you need to level the soil.

It is also important to monitor the condition of the floor in the gazebo. If necessary, apply a new coat of paint and varnish.

To determine which design is best for your site, it is worth considering a photo of do-it-yourself pallet gazebos. By following the step-by-step instructions, this can be done in just a few days.

One of the fairly popular attributes of personal plots is the gazebo. It is often ordered from craftsmen, but in the same way this structure can not be very difficult to make from pallets used for transporting and storing goods.

A private house and a summer residence are those places where people quite often take a break from the bustle of the city, worries and a lot of different things.

Therefore, it is very important that coziness and comfort reign here. To do this, it is not necessary to spend a lot of money, because it is enough just to make everything from scrap materials, not always sacrificing the beautiful appearance or aesthetics of the products.

One of the fairly popular attributes of personal plots is the gazebo.

It is often ordered from craftsmen, but in the same way this structure can not be very difficult to make from pallets used for transporting and storing goods. The main thing in this case is to understand the entire installation process of the structure, clearly following the instructions and recommendations of experienced specialists after that.

How to make a gazebo from pallets with your own hands

Advantages and disadvantages of pallets and products from them

First of all, when deciding what to make a gazebo at home, you need to pay attention to the advantages of each of the methods. If you disassemble the option of installing a structure from pallets, then it is characterized by such positive qualities as:

  • environmental friendliness, since these improvised means are made from ordinary wood;
  • attractiveness, originality and a certain uniqueness, since it is quite rare to find similar gazebos that are unlike other;
  • ease of installation, because special skills are not required for this;
  • ease of subsequent processing and care of the created product.

It is also worth noting that not all pallets and pallets can be used for the construction of gazebos. Exception from general rule are products bearing the IPPC mark. It means that these parts have been treated with special chemicals that do not allow them to be reused. Over time, such pallets begin to evaporate toxic substances that can be unsafe for humans. It is also worth pointing out that installing a gazebo from pallets and pallets is not the best way.

The disadvantages of such construction are that in a few years the tree will require more and more care in the form of treatment with special substances against decay, mold and microorganisms, painting, etc. In such a structure, it will not be possible to hide from the winds and bad weather conditions, since in fact it is a fairly open space.

Do-it-yourself pallets or the use of purchased materials

Quite often, when a person decides to build a gazebo from pallets, he does not understand what materials should be used for this. In this regard, there are two options for solving the problem - buying finished products or producing your own future structural elements structures.

If you fully focus on the cheapness of building a gazebo, you need to find used, often free pallets and pallets. In this case, you should be extremely selective - they can be significantly damaged. In addition, quite often, after many years of operation, a rather unpleasant odor emanates from them.

The worst products can be used for other purposes in the country - for building a chicken coop, rabbit cages, etc. It is almost impossible to remove bad odors from wood products used in ports or markets. Therefore, it is best not to use them for mounting gazebos. If this is done, even constant ventilation will not help for a comfortable stay in this structure. If you make pallets with your own hands, the expense of money will not be very large. In this case, it is worth stocking up on a lot of free time.

Among the advantages of this method of erecting a gazebo, quality can be noted. This often makes it possible to extend the service life of a structure by more than fifteen years. You can also purchase ready-made new pallets. You can buy or order them almost everywhere. The quality of these items is also pretty good. But at the same time, it will be necessary to pay for them comparatively a large number of of money.

Instructions for creating a gazebo

In order for the pallet gazebo to serve for a long time and to be a rather attractive object, it is necessary to strictly follow the rules for its construction. They are based primarily on the experience of those people who have come across the installation of pallet structures. The construction process itself is not difficult, if you think over everything in advance and take into account all the nuances of creating this architectural object.

Building configuration

There are several possible options configurations of the structure, but the most popular are the following:

  1. Creation of a gazebo from solid pallets, which are attached only to additional elements that create the frame of the object. They are most often wooden or metal support posts and beams. In this case, it turns out to be a rather closed space.
  2. Creation of a gazebo from pallets, using them only for the roof and base. Installation of walls with this configuration of the building is not provided, which makes the building very open and does not allow to hide what will happen in it in the future.
  3. Creation of a gazebo from pallet elements. That is, the structures themselves must first be disassembled into their constituent parts - boards. Of these, you need to build a structure in a free order. In this case, its appearance can be almost anything. The disadvantage of this method is only that it takes more time for its implementation.

To quantify necessary materials, it should be understood what dimensions standard pallets have. Most often they are made with dimensions of 120x80 centimeters. Thus, taking this data as a basis, the gazebo can be planned in the form of a square with a side of 240 or 360 centimeters. In this case, the amount of leftovers will be quite small, which can significantly save both money and time for installation. Before starting work, it is best to create an approximate or fairly clear drawing of the future structure.

Site preparation

A rather important part of all work on the construction of the gazebo is the preparation of the site on which it will stand. This process requires the following work:

  1. Complete cleaning of the construction area. This applies not only to debris, stones and plantings, but also directly to the grass itself.
  2. Leveling the plot. For this, you can use earth and rubble. They need to be tamped if there are any holes in the intended area for the construction of the gazebo.
  3. Preparation of foundation pits for the installation of pillars or piles. They should be placed vertically, not deviating at all from the axis. This is due to the fact that the pallets are rectangles. That is, any inaccuracy will subsequently lead to significant installation difficulties. From above, the pillars should be connected by beams, which represent the upper bundle. In the future, the roof lathing of the structure will be located on them.
  4. The floor can be built directly on the ground, or raised on a small foundation. In the first case, the soil should be covered with sand. This will not keep the wood from getting wet, but it will at least help it last longer. In the second case, you can pour concrete at several points around the perimeter, on which you can put the lower beams. This will significantly increase the service life of the gazebo, since rainwater and wet earth will not fall.

If there is a lot of clay in the soil or there is a pond near the future gazebo, it is best to use piles. For ease of installation, you should choose screw products that are screwed into the ground.

Erection

The frame of the gazebo is most often created from wooden beams. It is best to choose products with a cut of 100x100 millimeters.

The walls themselves are erected from pallets. They can be arranged in one, two or even three rows. Due to the fact that the size of these elements is quite large, this part of the construction process is fast.

The main thing is to follow the plan.

To check the correct installation, you should use a building level and a tape measure. Fasteners can be carried out in various ways.

This is done using anchors, wood grouse screws or ordinary screws. Pallets can be fastened to each other with nails or self-tapping screws.

Creation process It is allowed to create panels from pallets on the ground, and then install them in a vertical plane for walls. They cannot be used as a roof, but at the same time, they make a pretty good lathing for the roof. For it, you can use slate, corrugated board or ordinary tarpaulin. For a more aesthetic look, the inner part of the gazebo roof lathing can be sheathed with chipboard panels.

Decorating

If the pallets were new and did not have any damage, the gazebo from them will turn out to be quite attractive in itself. But you should not limit yourself to this, since you can additionally decorate it. For this, the following elements are used:

  1. Cloth curtains.
  2. Climbing plants that can be planted around the perimeter of the structure.
  3. Placing flowers in pots, for which you can create special niches.
  4. Use of specially prepared covers and pillows for furniture of the gazebo.
  5. Placement of some decorative details throughout the structure: candles, figurines, homemade crafts.
  6. Installation of lighting devices.

The gazebo looks most beautiful in the garden or near a private house in the case when its walls simultaneously serve as a support under climbing plants... It can be both annual and perennial flowers and bushes. During the flowering period, they are ways to give an unforgettable look to this pallet structure.

How to extend the life of a structure

Wood is a material that needs proper care. If it is not provided, its service life can be reduced several times. Therefore, it is very important to carry out several preparatory work... Among them are the following:

Special formulations designed for this should be used as chemicals for wood preservation. They are ubiquitously sold in many home improvement stores. This stage cannot be ignored, since it significantly extends the service life of the structure. Using wood stain

Additionally, to give a more aesthetic look to the entire structure, you can use a stain. It helps the wood to look more natural and attractive.

Conclusion

A pallet gazebo is an opportunity for a fairly small amount of money to create a really beautiful small architectural object country house or summer cottages.

At proper care and processing, this design can last for more than a dozen years. Therefore, it is far from necessary to save up large financial resources in order to create an original, comfortable and cozy place in your garden for spending free time and rest.

Products that were originally intended for other purposes can often be used as building materials. The most popular is furniture that can be made from pallets. It is installed not only on summer cottages, but also in apartments that are decorated in a loft style. Another interesting solution that can be realized using pallets is the gazebo. You can assemble it in less than a day, and it will delight you with its functionality for quite a long time. What is required for this will be discussed in the article.

General information

Pallets are a simple structure that is used for the transportation and storage of goods. Most often it consists of two levels of boards, which are fixed to each other with special beams. There are several pallet options. The difference is only in the sizes between them.

The assembly principle remains unchanged. One of the advantages of pallets for construction is that the wood dries well during operation, so it is convenient to use it in construction. In addition, pallets can often be obtained free of charge or at a low price, since in most cases they are simply thrown away or stored until better times.

You can get pallets by yourself collecting them from scrap materials. Great skill is not required for this task. It is important to be able to hold a hacksaw and a hammer or screwdriver in your hands. At self-assembly sizes can be customized without being tied to standards. You can buy ready-made pallets, for example, from transport companies.

Clients often pay for pallets for the transportation of goods, but do not pick them up from the warehouses, so they will be happy to give them back. In some cases, companies are willing to hand over pallets on condition of self-collection, since removal and disposal require additional costs.

Project preparation

It's easier to create what you imagine well. If it comes to any structure, then it is better to draw up its project and detailed drawing, which will allow you to calculate the amount of material required. But it's worth starting with the selection of a suitable territory for the gazebo. It is good if the gazebo is located among the greenery, which will additionally decorate it.

It is easier to carry out the construction of a gazebo on a flat area than to prepare it or deduce the level with a foundation. The selected area usually determines the size of the future gazebo; the size is also influenced by the number of people who will simultaneously gather under its roof.

When the specific dimensions of the gazebo are selected, you can transfer them to the drawing. Previously, you can sketch out a design project that will better allow you to imagine exactly how the gazebo made of pallets will look like. The easiest way is to build an ordinary quadrangular structure, but you can approach the matter with imagination, creating an octagonal or hexagonal structure. This will require a lot of effort, but this version of the gazebo will look more attractive.

Material preparation

Not only the project needs preparation, but also the pallets from which the gazebo will be made. After all the pallets have been delivered to the site, it is necessary to carefully assess their condition. The first step is cleaning from dirt, since in an industrial environment, pallets are not kept clean. After a complete cleaning, it is easier to identify imperfections that can be eliminated by replacing several boards or simply fixing individual elements. In some cases, it will be necessary to collect one of two pallets, so you should have a certain stock of material before starting construction. In accordance with the drawn up project, the pallets are divided according to dimensions and parameters for a specific module. Sometimes a connection of several elements is required. If all this is done in advance, the final assembly will be faster.

Since pallets are considered consumables, planed wood is not used for them. A gazebo from it will look unattractive. This means that it must be additionally processed with a grinder. In some cases, it will be necessary to remove several layers of sandpaper of different grain sizes in order to achieve a smooth surface. When the initial sanding is completed, it is necessary to give the pallets a certain fire resistance. This is done with special impregnations. After applying them, you must wait until they dry completely. In the process, some of the fibers will lift and need to be sanded again. Someone prefers to paint the pallets at this stage. But it is better to do this already on the finished structure, since some areas may be damaged during the installation process. Easier to paint hard-to-reach places, and after the construction to carry out the finishing front side.

Laying the foundation

The gazebo, which will be assembled from pallets, is lightweight, so it does not require a strong foundation. Its design will largely depend on what type of soil is in a particular area. If groundwater are at a sufficient level, and the soil is to a small extent susceptible to heaving, then as a foundation, you can use the usual bedding of crushed stone and sand. For this, a small depression is made over the entire area of the gazebo, the bottom of which is rammed. A layer of sand and gravel is poured on top. Each should be 10 cm thick. They are displayed on the level and also tamp well. The floor of the gazebo can be laid directly on the gravel. In addition to good support, rainwater will be quickly filtered if it gets under the gazebo.

Another option that will require less cost is a columnar foundation. The essence of the design is that small pits are made in the places of key anchor points and backfilling is performed, as in the previous version. After that, two strong blocks or several bricks are placed on the backfill. In order for the base to have greater strength, they can be fastened together with a sand-cement mortar. They should also be in the same plane so that the floor is level. Pallets are stacked on top of the blocks.

If the situation with the soil is not rosy, but you want to have a gazebo made of pallets, then additional spending on the foundation will be required. In this case, screw metal piles can be used. They are screwed to a depth where the soil has a high density, and they must be installed in 1.5 meter increments for such a structure. A wooden grillage is laid on top of the piles, which will tie all the elements together. Several piles should be installed in the middle of the gazebo so that the floor is supported throughout the entire plane. In this case, the pallets are simply screwed to the wooden grillage, which is mounted on the piles.

Another base option that can be used for a pallet gazebo is a slab foundation. Preparation for its construction is carried out in the same way as described for the first option, only the foundation pit in this case will require greater depth. Reinforcement is laid on the crushed stone, which must be lifted on special supports. From above, the reinforcement is poured with prepared concrete mortar, which is displayed in a horizontal level. It takes up to one month to build up the strength of the structure. Fixation wooden pallets to the slab is carried out with a gasket made of waterproofing material, which will prevent moisture from entering the wood.

Assembling the structure

The assembly of a pallet gazebo begins from the floor. In this case, pallets can be stacked in one or two layers. If the pallets are to be stacked in two rows, then they must be assembled with weaving seams. The space between the slats is filled with boards of suitable size. Another option is to use sheets of OSB or moisture resistant plywood, which are screwed over the pallets so that the floor surface is solid. Pallets must be fixed to the foundation and also to each other.

The next step is the installation of the first row of pallets, which will serve as walls. They must be fixed in level and firmly fastened with self-tapping screws to the base. They can be trimmed to the required height if necessary.

For greater strength of the entire structure, pallets that are installed vertically must be interconnected along their entire length edged board... Additionally, you will also need a wooden beam with a section of 10 cm. It will act as support pillars on which the roof will rest, as well as the rest of the pallets fixed to the walls. The number of beams required will depend on the design of the roof and the material that will be used for it.

The end of the pallets should also be covered with a board so that no animals can make themselves a home under the floor. This move will also improve the appearance of the entire structure.

When all the vertical elements of the pallet gazebo are installed, you can make the top strapping. To do this, you will need a beam with a size of 10 by 15 cm. It fits on the end of the pillars of the gazebo from pallets, and the individual elements are fixed to each other with a lock, as can be seen in the photo above. For reliable fastening, a hole is drilled through the connection and a self-tapping screw is screwed in, which can press the strapping to the support post.

When the harness of the gazebo is ready, you can fix wooden beams on it, which will serve as rafters. Installation of the gazebo roofing will be carried out on them. If we are talking about the same polycarbonate as in the photo, then a powerful lathing is not required, but for metal tiles or corrugated board, the lathing must be made in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements in order to ensure sufficient resistance to different loads... If a soft roof is used, then the lathing is made solid from a board or from sheet material, on which waterproofing is additionally laid. A video on assembling such a gazebo from pallets is below.

Summary

The final stage is painting the entire structure with varnish or a composition that matches the color. This pallet gazebo is easy to decorate with flowers. They are easy to place at the end of the walls, since the pallets have gaps, where they are perfectly installed flower pots... In this case, it is worth thinking about the container in which the water will be collected after watering, so that the liquid does not have a destructive effect on the wood of the pallet. Places where self-tapping screws are screwed into the pallets or nails are driven in can be putty to hide the grooves. Climbing plants can be planted next to the gazebo, which will additionally decorate it with greenery.

Summer is approaching, trips to a country house or dacha are coming. On warm sunny days, you hardly want to be within four walls, it is much more pleasant and useful to breathe in the fresh country air. An attractive and easily feasible undertaking is to build a gazebo. For self-arrangement, a pallet structure is best suited.

Such a simple structure will allow you to comfortably sit with a gadget or a book, put a container with a refreshing drink on a stable surface. Neither rain nor the scorching sun will prevent you from having a good time with friends or while away the evening alone, enjoying nature.

Construction material

The direct purpose of pallets is to simplify the handling and transportation of various goods: bags, boxes, boxes, etc. Pallets are durable, which allows them to be used for the construction of summer structures, for example, gazebos. They are durable, maintainable, have a clear geometry, and are inexpensive.

Before use, the pallets are cleaned of dirt and dust, and, if necessary, repaired. Restoring wooden containers means replacing damaged and adding missing boards, strengthening loose structural elements. A sander can help you achieve a smooth surface quickly and easily.

The service life of the future building can be extended by treating wooden parts with special protective compounds that prevent the appearance of rot and the harmful effects of insects.

These funds are sold in any hardware store.

Key stages of work on the construction of a gazebo

The construction of even a small structure requires a project. The location of the facility, the supply of the necessary networks and communications, the calculation of the amount of materials - all this is determined at the design stage. So, the sequence of work:

  1. The choice of pallets for the gazebo.
  2. Building design development.
  3. Production of a drawing based on architectural requests.
  4. Directly erection of the object.
  5. Building improvement.

Choosing pallets

Below is a classification of the most common products.

Dimensions of Euro pallets

Pallets: 1 - "Eurosize", 2 - "Eurostandard"

The length and width of wooden containers can be different (for a certified euro pallet, these dimensions are 120 and 80 cm, respectively), the standard height is 14.5 cm.

Finnish and American pallets

Finnish pallet dimensions

The length of the fin pallet is 120 cm, the width is 100 cm.When building a gazebo from American pallets, take into account other dimensions: 120 x 120 cm.

US pallet dimensions

Whatever choice was made, the advantages of such a construction are obvious:

  • Environmentally friendly material will not harm your health, will organically fit into the suburban exterior and give you comfort.
  • The design allows sunlight to pass through and Fresh air, which creates a feeling of unity with nature.
  • You can build a gazebo from pallets with your own hands. Even for a beginner master, it will take 2-3 days.

Design project

This stage opens up endless possibilities for creativity. The material chosen for construction resembles the elements of the constructor, respectively, a lot of design options are obtained.

This version of the gazebo illustrates that fairly decent structures are obtained from pallets, there would be an idea.

Perhaps it will be a simple quadrangular house, "Baba Yaga's hut" or a multifaceted gazebo consisting of six or more corners. Various modifications are available, which are limited only by the author's imagination.

Drawing

After defining architectural forms it's time to put the gazebo project on paper. Full project documentation in this case it is not required, but it is highly desirable to make a drawing with structural sections of the structure.

Also, on the plan of the land plot, you can draw the contours of the future building for assessment general concept landscape design territory. In the simplest graphic editors, you can make a 3D visualization of the gazebo and see how the structure will look on the ground.

Foundation

A start

A base of timber is laid along the perimeter of the structure and fixed with screws or anchor bolts to the foundation, and among themselves - with the help of strapping. The photo on the left shows this stage.

Suitable for this only durable boards capable of withstanding heavy loads. Roofing material or protective film under the base will protect the structure from moisture. The lower trim of the gazebo is ready, now corner posts are placed on it and fixed with screws.

If the structure is massive, the supports are duplicated in the middle of the future walls. The fasteners are the same - wood screws. The installation of the roof frame is carried out after the installation of the pillars is completed. When erecting walls, pallets with a bar and between themselves are fixed with wood grouse screws. The construction of the wall is carried out depending on the purpose of the gazebo - in a one- or two-layer structure.

Suitable for the roof are polycarbonate, roofing material, tiles, slate. Each material has its own advantages. The polymer is produced in a variety of colors, therefore, it is not difficult to choose a suitable color option. It attaches easily and can withstand high temperatures. A roofing material roof is easy to install, inexpensive, but not very attractive in appearance and does not fit into every landscape. Laying slate alone is time-consuming, and installing shingles is time-consuming. The best option is a polycarbonate roof, as in the photo.

An example of a polycarbonate canopy.

Finishing touches

The floors are usually also made from pallets or use terrace board... A special composition is applied to the wood, which protects against fungus, mold, insects, and then varnished or painted. Such processing will extend the service life at times.

The walls are painted acrylic paints or varnished, which emphasizes the natural beauty wooden structure and increases the durability of materials.

A gazebo is a place of rest at any time of the day, including evening and night, so you cannot do without light here. The main thing in the matter of electricity is safety. Particular attention is paid to protecting the cable from moisture and water, making reliable insulation.

The final stage will be a path from the remains of pallets, laid to the recreation area. At the site of the future path, the ground is leveled, a small sand cushion is poured to drain the water, and trays treated with stain are placed on top.

The summer gazebo on the suburban area is ready - it's time to go for the barbecue!

In order to create coziness and comfort in the country or in country house it is not necessary to carry everything old furniture from an apartment or buy new materials for construction. Ordinary pallets, which are used for a convenient loading capacity of boxes, can serve as: furniture, gazebo, fence - whatever, depending on your imagination.

Pallet gazebo construction technology

Building materials have become much more expensive and less and less buildings such as gazebos can be seen in summer cottages. The owners prefer to build something more important than a building that is designed only for recreation.

You can correct the situation with the help of pallets, from which beautiful gazebos and furniture are erected. This material does not require large costs for the price, and in some you can find old pallets, which, thanks to the right technology processing is quite suitable for construction.

In order to return a second life to the pallets, it is enough to carry out the following procedures:

  1. Repair. Since the material is no longer taken new, it is quite possible that some pallets will need to be repaired, namely, to add missing boards or fasten loose parts. Having chosen the worst pallet, it can be disassembled for repairing more intact ones. In the case when only euro pallets were found for construction, do not be upset about the fact that they are hard to understand. This task is quite feasible and a little later we will consider the most easy way its solutions.
  2. Tidying up the surface. Repaired pallets should be carefully sanded and deburred to ensure a smooth surface. This will help in the future to easily process them from decay, to avoid splinters and damage to clothing. Sanding can be done using a special machine or sandpaper (using paper will be time-consuming and less attractive).
  3. Coloring. The repaired and cleaned pallets are thoroughly dried. Then the entire surface should be treated with a special impregnation, which will protect the tree from early decay and pests. At the last stage, the entire surface is painted in the selected color. You can use exterior paints or purchase a special wood stain.

When all the pallets are ready, further construction does not take much effort.

Selection: wooden pallets and pallets

The design of the gazebo and the choice of building materials are very dependent on each other. Since the gazebo is built from wooden pallets, it is precisely their dimensions that must be taken into account when drawing up a drawing of a future building in order to preserve their integrity in the future.

The most common pallet sizes:

  1. euro pallet - 120x80 cm;
  2. Englishwoman (ISO) - 120x100 cm;
  3. (EURO) - 80x60 cm;
  4. (EURO) enlarged - 120x120 cm.

The height of all structures is 14.4 cm. The cost of one new pallet is close to 50 gr.

When choosing a roof made of pallets, it should be noted that they must be covered with a waterproof material (film, roofing felt) on top. Even when folded in two layers, the structure will not save visitors from getting wet in the rain.

Much attention will need to be paid to the timber from which the arbor frame will be cocked. It should not be defective, since the structure will turn out to be heavy, and the slightest crack can serve to break the entire structure. For construction, you will also need: wood grouse screws (thanks to which pallets will be attached to the frame), cries and measuring tools.

When counting the right material on the gazebo, it is worth considering the fact that this building is not being erected as an integral structure. Lightness and maximum contact with the surrounding nature should prevail in the gazebo.

Drawing up a project for a summer residence

Without fail, all ideas about the construction should be entered on a sheet, so as not to forget important details.

In order to better present required sizes, you can first make furniture, and for this you will need: a screwdriver, screws, bolts, wire cutters and metal connectors.

  • Table... For this type of furniture, you will need 2 - 3 structures that are installed on top of each other.
  • Seating... It's good when there were several pieces of pallets of the smallest sizes. By placing one on top of the other and securing, you can design the back. To create it, you simply take an appropriate board or thick plywood and insert it into the opening between the base boards. Having determined the desired angle of inclination of the backrest, the structure is fixed. A chaise longue is also made according to this principle, only the pallets are placed side by side, and not on top.

For the manufacture of furniture, it may be necessary to disassemble several pallets into pieces. Complications can arise with Euro pallets, which are made of very high quality. The nails with which the structure is knocked down are non-removable (screw or brushed) and the use of a nailer will not help here. In order to disassemble everything to the point and at the same time not to break one of them, it is enough to take just a small hatchet.

Most often, the owner wants to leave it intact. top cover, but get rid of the bottom three, but they are attached to 9 bars. If you look closely at the product, you will notice that all the nails are driven across the fibers: - and this is only on hand. The solidity of the bar has already been damaged by hammering in nails and it remains only to apply a couple of light blows to it so that it breaks.

The remains of the bar are also removed with an ax. For this, the rest of the blade is punctured with the edge of the blade. Since the blows are applied along the nails, do not be afraid to blunt the ax - it will simply slide over them.

How to build with your own hands

Basically, the gazebos from flights are not built with a large area, and therefore they do not require the manufacture of a foundation, but if it is decided to build a spacious structure, then the foundation is necessary. Most often, a pile-screw base is used, which will be cheaper than a tape base and is easier in its design.

Step-by-step construction instructions:

  1. We align the place for the future building as much as possible.
  2. In the absence of a foundation, it is necessary to make a pedestal from the boards for the future floor. Such a structure will help avoid wetting and contamination of the pallets that will form the floor.
  3. We make the frame of the future gazebo from beams. The connection between each other takes place with the help of wood grouse screws.
  4. In the fourth step, we create the walls. For this, the pallets can be attached to the frame either in one row or in two. A double layer will give great protection from weather conditions, but low penetration is considered a disadvantage. sunlight... Fastening is also done with wood grouse screws.
  5. The walls have been erected and you can go to the roof. In the case where the roof is also made of pallets, it is better to cover them roofing material... You can simply limit yourself to an ordinary camouflage net. All information about gazebos with shed roof find.

Decorating

To decorate the gazebo, you can use climbing plants (wild grapes, ivy, etc.), which will give a greater unity with nature.

An interesting decor option is obtained when creating a vertical garden(by the way, also with the help of a pallet). The pallet acts as a platform. Its invisible side is covered with a thick film. The structure lies on the floor and earth is poured into the holes between the boards.

After tamping it well, you need to sow flowers or other plants. Watering also takes place through holes or using a spray. When the seeds germinate and take root, the structure is lifted and placed in an upright position in any convenient place.

Video

It is better to think in advance about creating furniture from pallets, examples of which can be seen in this video:

A summer gazebo near a private house or in the country will always bring good mood and appeasement. And when constructing it from pallets, it will also delight you with its cheapness. Do-it-yourself construction has a big plus in that the result obtained will be individual.
