You can take the girl out of Italy, but never Italy out of the girl. That was my first thought when I met dark-haired beauty Bianca Balti after filming in Los Angeles, where she has lived for the past few years. One hundred percent embodiment of classic Italian beauty, the face of the Italian brand Dolce & Gabbana - and suddenly she declares that she is crazy about California and wants to stay here forever.

“I found myself,” says Bianca, sitting on the terrace by the pool and exposing her face to the sun. “There are not many big cities in the world where you can live, enjoy nature, the ocean, and lead such a relaxed and healthy lifestyle.” I can’t believe it: the famous Milanese model, who has graced dozens of magazine covers, including Vogue, is enjoying a quiet, measured life in Los Angeles. “When, after living here for a very short time, I returned to Milan, I found it terribly boring,” Bianca says with a laugh. “Everyone there is trying so hard to be perfect, to look perfect, to go to the right places, even my mother is the same. When I first came to California for work, I felt truly free here. Everyone constantly asks me: “Are you really going to stay here?” - and I confidently answer: “Yes!”

“Having returned to Milan for a while, I realized how bored I was there. Everyone tries to look and dress impeccably - even my own mother."

Balti quickly adopted local habits - proper nutrition, training on fresh air and caring for environment. She surfs, meditates, and spends all her free time on the beach with her daughters: three-year-old Mia and eleven-year-old Matilda. “My life has become much better, I have been trying for so many years to change my eating habits, but here it happened naturally, at every step there are supermarkets or restaurants with farm and organic products and superfoods. Try it in Italy and ask them to make porridge with lactose-free milk, they will look at you like you’re crazy.” The only thing her Italian nature refuses to accept is sun protection, which all the locals are so obsessed with. “My beautician hates me for this,” Balti laughs. - Of course, I use sunscreen, but only for my face. After all, I'm Italian! We love the sun! I feel much more attractive when I'm tanned and I'm not going to hide from the sun to keep my skin best quality when I get old."

Bianca does not like to leave home for a long time, the only place where she travels with pleasure is Capri, where the shooting of the Light Blue fragrance from Dolce & Gabbana (of which she is the face) traditionally takes place and where she plays the heroine of Dolce Vita - blue sea, sun and handsome man in white shorts. Is there a woman who, looking at this poster, did not feel a feeling of envy? Bianca talks about the shoot as a fun vacation, and calls the design duo family: “Stefano played traditional Italian music and was constantly trying to make me laugh, while Domenico was obsessed with fittings and wanting everything to look perfect.”

“I like that Stefano and Domenico never reproached me for gaining weight or losing weight. They just did everything to make me feel perfect."

Balti herself became part of the Dolce and Gabbana “family” in 2005, and in 2013 she joined the blue-eyed Apollo, Briton David Gandy, on advertising posters for the fragrance, although the model admits that she fell in love with this perfume masterpiece much earlier. By the way, thanks to its exquisite sweetish-citrus sound, it has been on the bestseller list for seventeen years now, and it cannot be confused with anything else. “I’ll never forget how happy I was when my aunt gave me Light Blue for Christmas, and I’ve been wearing it and all its versions ever since.” According to Bianca, while at school she began to dream of becoming a model: “I was so thin that children constantly made fun of me, but the girls in glossy magazines looked exactly like me, and this inspired and reassured me. I remember cutting out Dolce & Gabbana advertisements from magazines, hanging them on the wall and visualizing them. Stefano and Domenico gave me a lot, taught me to love myself for who I am. I filmed for them almost immediately after the birth of my second daughter Mia, then I scored thirteen extra pounds, and they never reproached me for gaining weight or losing a lot of weight - on the contrary, they always complimented me and made me feel beautiful.” Bianca's choice is not to be perfect, and it makes her even more beautiful.

Almost a million of her subscribers are ready to prove this: along with photos demonstrating a beautiful life, parties, an ideal figure in a bikini and philosophical reflections, they like photos of the real Bianca. Pregnant, swollen, tired, where she is breastfeeding her daughter Mia or taking a selfie in front of the mirror, where all the extra pounds are visible a few weeks after giving birth.

“I am against the fake life that we see on Instagram: photoshopped photos with perfect makeup - I want people to see the real me, because I don’t wake up beautiful in the morning.”

“I’m against a fake life, where I’m photoshopped or with professional makeup and hair,” Balti says almost like a slogan. “I think it’s important for people to see the real me.” Instagram is full of photos of beauties with perfect figures immediately after giving birth. Many girls begin to go crazy because of this, develop complexes, engage in self-criticism, but it goes far - I was like that myself. Two months after giving birth, I still had ten extra pounds and even more anger and despair. I am for a healthy balance - for beauty and naturalness. Believe me, I don’t wake up beautiful in the morning and on Friday evening I always eat my favorite pizza.” Having said this, Bianca herself laughs, after all, she is a true Italian. “Not many Europeans like Los Angeles,” she says, “otherwise everyone would already be here. If you don't like it, that's cool, stay in Europe, we'll get more. Of course, there is a richer cultural life and a lot of art there. But here I will have something to remember.”

Women with a Mediterranean appearance are a real boon for the modeling business. Especially if they have such fantastic bottomless eyes of azure shade and passionate plump lips, like Bianca Balti. Who is she, this stunning beauty, one of the highest paid models in the world, who has become the new face of Italy and even slightly displaced Monica Bellucci?

1.

Ask any fan of Bianca Balti if he knows where she gets such an interesting appearance, and, undoubtedly, the answer will be: “From her mother.” Yes, the model’s typically southern appearance is the result of the fusion of her father’s Italian blood and her mother’s Azerbaijani blood. Bianca herself has repeatedly stated that she inherited her natural grace and beauty from her mother, who even now, having an adult daughter, looks great.

2.

Balti is considered one of the three most “expensive” Italian models - she shares this title with Eva Riccobono and Mariacarla Boscono.

3.

As is the case with many of her fellow models, fate personally found Bianca in a place completely unsuitable for casting - that is, in a supermarket where the girl worked in the household chemicals department. It was here that a modeling agency scout saw her and invited her to come for an audition.

4.

By the way, there is information that Balti with teenage years attended castings, but she was refused everywhere, citing the fact that Bianca’s appearance was too ordinary for a model.

5.

The twenty-year-old girl came to her first successful casting with her mother, who was very skeptical about her daughter’s idea and flatly refused to let Bianca go alone. By the way, despite successful tests, Senor and Senora Balti at first did not show any enthusiasm for modeling career daughters. In order for Bianca to give up her goal, they even decided not to provide her with financial assistance. As Bianca Balti later admitted, she managed to survive in Milan, where she moved from her hometown of Lodi, thanks to the fact that she ate food that local sellers left for the homeless.

6.

Bianca has four tattoos.

7.

Big eyes and plump lips are the main components of a great appearance for cosmetics advertising. That is why Bianca Balti often appears in advertising campaigns with very bright makeup. Although, as the model herself notes, she does not use tons of cosmetics in everyday life. You can verify this if you look at this charming girl’s Instagram. By the way, you can find a lot of selfies there, which Balti loves to take.
